Abstract

Bits.-The object is to produce a riding-bit by the use of which a leverage is set up on the mouthpiece somewhat similar to that of a curb-bit, but without the use of a. curb-chain. The side cheeks B<2> are backwardly curved below the mouthpiece A and terminate in fixed rings B<3>, B<1>. When both reins C, D are pulled simultaneously, the required leverage is setup.
