Abstract

185,356. Puckle, P. C. Nov. 30, 1921. Bridles.-A device is fitted to or incorporated in any bridle for the purpose of (1) preventing the bit from pressing on the bar of the animal's mouth (2) preventing the animal from getting his tongue over the bit. A nose-band 1 containing a steel stiffening-member is adjustably connected at each end to steel hook-members 4 which may be covered with material. The members 4 engage the mouthpieces 5. 6 of both bits of a double bridle. Straps 11 attached to the members 4 are connected by a strap 12 passing under the usual head-strap. The nose-band 1 may be applied directly to the bit ends or rings, without the members 4 and the straps 11, 12.
