1,067,134. Adjustable seats. G. CAVIONI. March 13, 1964, No. 45791/66. Divided out of 1,067,132. Addition to 1,067,132. Heading A4J. In a vehicle seat, an angularly adjustable back rest 23 is retained, by latch 38, at an inclination determined by the angular position of a latch carrying plate 13, pivoted co-axially therewith and, on release of the latch, is movable to a forwardly folded position overlying the seat. When locking device 24 (see Specification 1,067,133) is released, angular displacement of back rest 23 is transmitted through pin 36, latch 38 and link 22 to move longitudinally slidable rod 12. Re-actuation of device 24 prevents rod 12 from sliding therethrough and retains the back rest 23 in its selected angular position.
