Abstract
1,063,397. Rolling. KARL SCHMIDT G.m.b.H. Oct. 5, 1965 [Oct. 17, 1964], No. 42278/65. Heading B3M. A method of plating steel with white metal comprises heating a tinned steel strip to between 220 and 380 C., and applying the white metal in the cold state between the rolls of a rolling mill which deforms the white metal only. The strip is preferably heated inductively between 320 and 380 C. in a protective gas atmosphere.
