Abstract

1,063,165. Tanks with floating roofs. UNION TANK CAR CO. June 8. 1964 [June 26, 1963], No. 23723/64. Heading E1T. A tank of the floating roof type is provided with a toroidal seal 20 which is secured to the position 11 by a bolted flange connection 50, 51 and by bumper bars 45 engaging a mounting assembly 21. The seal 20 is made of rubber treated nylon and contains a weighting liquid 24. For a modified mounting assemblies Figs. 5, 6 and 7 (not shown), should be referred to.
