106,247. Caven, R. M. Jan. 17, 1917. Alkali silicates.-A solid hydrated soluble alkaline alkali silicate is produced by mixing pulverized alkaline silicate with from 25 to 38 per cent. of water and heating the mixture to a temperature above 70‹ C. but preferably below 100‹ C., but when the higher proportion of water is used the temperature may exceed 100‹ C. Specification 9730/98 is referred to.
