1,061,962. Photographic silver halide emulsions and transfer processes. INTERNATIONAL POLAROID CORPORATION. Oct. 30, 1963 [Nov. 28, 1962], No. 42890/63. Heading G2C. The invention relates to a photographic process comprising exposing a photo-sensitive element comprising a silver halide emulsion layer and developing said emulsion, lithium nitrate being contained in the silver halide emulsion, in a separate alkali permeable layer adjacent thereto or in the developer composition as an antifoggant or stabilizer. The photographic element and process are particularly applicable to diffusion transfer processes e. g. the dye developer process, migratory transfer of silver images and diffusion transfer processes wherein colour coupling techniques are employed. The lithium nitrate may be included in an alkaline processing composition for a diffusion transfer process when the developer is in the emulsion layer.
