Abstract

1,061,931. Shelf brackets. E. MEYER. April 28, 1964 [April 29, 1963], No. 17485/64. Heading A4B. Support brackets 7, Fig. 1, or bracket elements 19, Fig. 8, are attached to uprights 1 by engaging rib-like protrusions in longitudinal grooves 6 formed in the uprights 1, and securing the parts together by a bolt 11 and nut 14 so that the edge faces of the protrusions clampingly engage the spaced side faces of the grooves 6 when the brackets 7 or bracket elements 19 are subjected to load. One or two flanged supporting parts 18, Fig. 8, are secured to the uprights 1 between a washer 12 and a side face of the bracket element 19. Two adjacent brackets 7 may be secured to one upright 1 or two uprights 1 and two brackets 7 may be interconnected. The brackets 7 may be either of cantilever form or both ends may be secured between two spaced uprights 1 to form a cross beam.
