A temperature control system for a thermocompression evaparator comprises a contact thermometer 18 with high and low contacts 31, 32 opening an electronic relay 17 which controls an auxiliary heater 9, or through a switch 16, a valve 13. The heat for steady operations is supplied by a heater 38 or through a manually controlled valve 12.
