Abstract

1,059,950. Containers. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Nov. 18, 1965 [Dec. 18, 1964], No. 49018/65. Heading B8P. A container having an outwardly-lipped top opening, particularly a container slidable on guideways in a refrigerator cabinet, has a detachable lid, the forward part of which is hinged by flexible material to the rear part so that access may be obtained to the interior without complete removal of the lid. The lid may be of polypropylene and in one piece, the flexible hinge being a portion thereof delimited by notches separating a downward flange of the forward part from L-shaped side flanges of the rear part which engage under the container lip.
