A shelf 11 is provided with apertured wall mounting ears 13 and slide runners 18 co-operating with guides 20 or storage jars 19 which are formed with a reduced front portion 21 to facilitate gripping the jar to slide it from beneath the shelf which forms a lid for all the jars. The shelf and jars are made of a plastic, stiffening flanges 15, 14 and inverted T-section ribs, forming the intermediate runners, being formed integral with the shelf.
