Abstract

1,059,869. Radial flow fans. INSTITUT FUR ELEKTROMASCHINEN. June 14, 1965, No.24986/65. Heading F1C. A radial-flow fan which can operate in either direction of rotation comprises blades of S-shape in radial cross-section, the outer portion of each blade being of greater curvature than the inner. Each blade may be formed of two circular arcs, the radius r 2 of the inner portion of the blade being twice the radius r 1 of the outer portion. Dimension a = 3r 1 , and dimension b = 2r 1 . The outlet angle # 1 = 32 degrees, and the inlet angle # 2 = 22 degrees. Non-circular curves may be used. The inlet edge of each blade may be inclined to the axial direction.
