Abstract

1,057,211. Packing electrodes; boxes. ESAB A/S, and SANDEFJORD MODELLVERKATED. Feb. 18, 1965, No. 7109/65. Headings B8C and B8P. Welding electrodes are stored in a fibreglass reinforced plastics box containing silica gel as a desiccant. The box comprises a lid 2 hinged to a body 1 (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown), which has two downward extensions 3 running along two opposite side lower edges and stiffening extensions 5 (Fig. 3, not shown), along the other two side lower edges. Elongated beads 7 are fitted to the lid and co-operate with the extensions 3 when boxes are stacked, the extensions 3 being somewhat broader at their ends to prevent transverse displacement. The box is provided with finger grips 10, locking means 8, 9, and a peripheral groove 12 formed in the body 1 and filled with foam material to co-operate with the lid for forming an airtight closure. The silica gel is placed in the inner parts of the extensions 3, 5.
