The dividing walls of a compartmented box 1 have cuts 6, extending most of the way through so that the compartments may be separated by rupturing the remainder of the material at 7. The compartments are originally held together by adhesive tapes 8, and the container may be used for growing seedlings. The box may be moulded in expanded polystyrene.
