Abstract

A drier fabric is woven from multifilament plied warp yarn of polyethylene terephthalate and weft yarn consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate monofil wrapped with multifilament polyethylene terephthalate or nylon, the fabric being then treated with a thermosetting resin to stiffen it and bond the crossing points together. The resin may be urea formaldehyde or melamine formaldehyde. The weave may be plain or a double-faced 3-and-1 broken twill. The fabric may be woven tubular, in which case the wrap and weft are interchanged.
