Abstract

1,054,778. Open-topped boxes. J. C. BAUMGARTNER, and NATIONAL BOARD & PAPER MILLS Ltd. Sept. 30, 1963 [Dec. 4, 1962], No. 38333/63. Heading B8P. A box is formed from the blank shown by firstly folding panels C, C<SP>1</SP> upwards through 90 degrees about lines 2, 2<SP>1</SP>. then folding panels E, E<SP>1</SP> so as to lie along edges 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, enclosing the panels E, E<SP>1</SP> at each end between panels B or B<SP>1</SP>, and at the same time folding panels F, F<SP>1</SP> so that they lie alongside panels C, C<SP>1</SP> and folding panels D, D<SP>1</SP> so that they lie on the base A of the blank and finally enclosing the panels F, F<SP>1</SP> between the panels C, C<SP>1</SP>. The outer parts of the panels C, C<SP>1</SP> beyond the score lines 6, 6<SP>1</SP> are dimensioned so that each one overlies half the area of the base. Hand-holes G and a draining hole 9 may be provided, the panels C, C<SP>1</SP>, E, E<SP>1</SP> being provided with matching cut-outs.
