Abstract
1,054,299. Bearings. PARECHOC S.A. Oct. 10, 1964, No. 41460/64. Heading F2A. A shock-absorbing bearing for time-pieces or small mechanisms has a bearing body comprising a cap-jewel 1 and a pierced-jewel 2 in a common setting 3 and has a spring 8 which surrounds the bearing body. The spring 8 has arms 8a, each of which is rectangular in cross-section, the major axis of the cross-section being at right-angles to the axis of the bearing at the portion of the arm adjacent the annular portion of the spring and the major axis of the cross-section being parallel to the axis of the bearing at the free extremity of the arm 8a. The bearing body and spring 8 are mounted in a support 6, the latter having an inwardlydirected flange 6a which retains the arms 8a within the support.
