[Also in Division E1] A driven rotary brush has long flexible bristles for cleaning the vehicle guide planks of a motorway. A brush 1 is mounted, for rotation about a vertical axis, on a frame having a vertically adjustable guide wheel 5 and a drive transmission 13, 12, 11 and 10 from the front of the vehicle 4. Pump 15 supplies sprays 16 and 17. Alternative positions for the brush are possible and an arrangement of two or more brushes in series is referred to. On rotating the brush, the bristles 19 are brought from a drooping position into a horizontally extended position.
