A floor scrubbing, polishing or shampooing machine of the type in which one or more brushes 2 are mounted for rotation about a vertical axis or vertical axes below a drive motor, is provided with an attachment of low height, for cleaning under furniture, and comprising a brush 4 driven from the main machine drive as by a belt 5 or gearing. The brush 4 is rotatably mounted in a frame 6 connected by a detachable pivot pin to a pair of pillars 12 on the machine frame 3.
