1,244,613. Carpet cleaners. S.A. BRUSH CO. Ltd. Aug.21, 1968 [Aug.25, 1967; Oct.30, 1967; Nov. 13, 1967], No.40087/68. Heading A4F. A carpet shampooing apparatus comprises rotatable cleaning members 1 disposed in a housing 3 with their rotational axes angularly inclined to the intended line of operative travel of the housing, the cleaning members being disposed to contact the carpet being shampooed during such operative travel and each comprising brush sections 4 with sponge discs 5 disposed therebetween, and means being provided to supply shampoo liquid to the cleaning members 1. The illustrated embodiment comprises means for supplying shampoo liquid as described in Specification 1, 244, 614.
