456,783. Rotary brushes. HEUSER, G., 25, Falkensteinerstrasse, Frankfort-on- Main, Germany. Oct. 2, 1935, No. 27185. [Class 19] [See also Group X] The rotary sweeping brush of a road-sweeping machine comprises two coaxial brush rollers 6, 7, each consisting of a number of radially adjustable brushes 20. Each brush roller is formed of a number of radially adjustable sections each comprising a holder 21 and a resilient arm 22. These arms pass through guides 26 of members 24 attached to shafts 23 and are provided with rack teeth which engage with helical teeth of caps 29. Rotation of the caps effect the radial adjustment of the arms, the caps being locked in the required position by nuts 30.
