Abstract
1,052,591. Charging and discharging capacitors. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 23, 1963 [Aug. 27, 1962], No. 33465/63. Heading H2H. In a circuit such as is disclosed in Specification 916,939 wherein sawtooth pulses across a resistor 5 plus a fixed bias source 6, 7 are applied to a discharge tube 1 which periodically discharges a capacitor 13 through a transformer 15, a definite cut-off of tube 1 is ensured by a tube 2 arranged to fire immediately after tube 1 thus taking the control grid of tube 1 to the negative voltage, e.g. - 20 v. of source 6. Tube 2 is extinguished when the sawtooth voltage decreases.
