Abstract

1,050,742. Connecting trunking. DAVIS SHEET METAL ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. May 13, 1965 [June 1, 1964], No. 22567/64. Heading H2C. [Also in Division F2] Angles or bends for connecting lengths of rectangular trunking for electric wiring are assembled from sets of three parts, at least one of which is a square or kite-shaped plate with opposite right angles, the plate having extensions from a pair of adjacent edges substantially in the plane of the plate for attachment to the trunking. As shown, the pieces forming elbows comprise like side pieces 7 and 8, bottom piece 9 on the external angle and bottom piece 10 on the internal angle. Those parts of pieces 7, 8 and 9 which are of single thickness form extensions which enter the straight portions of the trunking and are fastened thereto by screws and nuts. Piece 10 is superfluous when the corresponding bend is formed by cutting the side walls of the trunking and bending. Detachable covers 5 fit over the flanges 4 of the trunking side walls and are held in position by e.g. turnbuckles.
