104,978. Pickard, C. E., and Condon, E. L. June 6, 1916. Pianoforte keys. -A balancing and levelling hinge for the keys is made with readily separable parts. As shown, a plate 16 w i t h upturned rlanges 17 is fixed to the kev bv screws 19, 20 and is stamped out in the middle to form a loop 18, in which are held a felt bushing and pin; a V-shaped spring member 21 with ears 22 for engaging the pin is fixed by a screw 25 to the key-bed rail 13. A screw 26 coacts with the screw 19 for levelling purposes. Instead of a guide-pin, a dipregulating button is provided at the front of the key.
