Abstract

1,047,792. Valves. CLAYTON CORPORATION OF DELAWARE. Jan. 23, 1964, No. 3054/64. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] Improved ease of operation and control of a manual tilt - opening valve for dispensers, e.g. pressurized containers, is provided by a rubber-like seal member 14 which cooperates with the normally horizontal closure face 32, of a valve head 31, to dispense, via parts 30 in tubular valve stem 24, whereby resistance due to " bunching " of the material of the seal member 14 is avoided by a seat 22 thereof formed at an angle of about 20 degrees to the horizontal around a tapered counterbore 20 within body portion 15.
