Abstract

1,046,596. Laminating apparatus. SAMUEL M. LANGSTON CO. Aug. 14, 1964 [Aug. 16, 1963], No. 33172/64. Heading B5N. A method for improving the uniformity of the web feed rate of a double facer machine for making corrugated paperboard comprises the steps of uniformly positively feeding and metering at least one of the web components into the double facer machine in timed relation with the operation of a cut-off machine thereby minimising variations in the web feed rate of the double facer machine due to slippage between the paper board and bell means on the double facer machine. Means for effecting this operation comprising a feed roll 76 engaged by said web component and driven by a common line shaft 86 are shown.
