Abstract

104,635. Bucher, J. J. Aug. 24, 1916. Driving-chains with separate joint pins.-Driving-chains, adapted to engage a chain-wheel a<1> and also to run upon lateral surfaces a<2> of the wheel acting as a pulley, are composed of links comprising closed resilient bands b connected together by pins c. Recesses c<1> in the pins accommodate the links. The links may be formed as sections of a tube, or by welding together the ends of a band, or by coiling a band, Fig. 5, to the ends of which are welded metal strips b<2>, which are folded around the coil b<1> and abut together, preventing the link from uncoiling.
