Abstract

104,631. Fletcher, R. E., and Birch, A. Aug. 7, 1916. Bale-tie fasteners.-The ends of a bale tie are fastened by metal studs in one-armed buttons having a shank 2 of L shape, chamfered or rounded off at the back of the angle, and an annular groove 4 in the neck, next the head 1. These studs are inserted in slots or holes b<1>, of the form shown in Fig. 5, in one end of the band, and the other end of the band, Fig. 6, having a slot or hole b<2> is placed over the shank. To release the bale tie, the stud is turned round by a suitable tool. The end of the bale tie passes off the stud at the chamfered end
