Abstract

126,307. Springer, W. R. May 1, 1918, [Convention date]. Bale-tie fasteners.-A metallic band for use in tying up packages of letters &c. has one end provided with a loop 7 and a stud 4 and the other end with a series of apertures 6, this end being adapted to be passed through the loop and engaged with the stud 4. The stud 4 is bevelled on the side nearest the loop to permit automatic engagement, and the loop 7 is wider at its outer side to allow the easy insertion of the end of the band. The band may be crimped at 8 to increase the flexibility.
