Abstract

102,366. France, A. G. Sept. 27, 1916. Slides, belt and like.-A one-piece buckle, adapted to be adjustably attached to a puttee strap without sewing, comprises free-ended outer bars d, e and inner bars a, b, c, one or more of such inner bars being displaced from the plane of the buckle. In the form shown in Figs. 4 and 6, the centre bar a is displaced to one side, and the bars b, c to the opposite side; while, in the form shown in Figs. 9 and 12, only the centre bar is displaced. The inner bars are close together, while the outer bars d, e are separated from the bars b, c respectively by a distance equal at least to a double thickness of the strap. The buckle may be curved, Figs. 9 and 12, and the extremities of the freeended bars bent upwardly as shown at f, g. To attach the buckle, the strap is passed under the bar b, over the bar a, and down under the bar c; the free end h of the strap is secured by being passed up between the bars d, b and then down. between the bars c, e, as shown in Fig. 4, whereupon it may be folded over the bar e and passed down under the bar d.
