Abstract
4017. Harse, R. C. Feb. 27. Belts; straps and bands.-A belt, strap, or band is made extensible by passing two ends D, E, Fig. II, in opposite directions through a flat spiral spring C. The ends are attached to the ends of the spring, or have projections sewn on to them, so that they compress the spring when the ends are pulled apart. In the Provisional Specification, the device is stated to be applicable to harness traces.
