Bale-tic fasteners. - A fastening-arrangement which can be readily released without cutting the bale tie, consists of detachable means, such as the usual studs d passing through slots c, for holding each end a, b of the tie in contact, with the tie, and one or more detachable studs j for taking the strain, the studs j being arranged between the studs d and being secured to one end of the tie and formed with an unobstructed stem g for engaging a hole or slot h in the other end of the tie. The studs j are formed with a flange and with a neck k for engagement with the narrow part l of a key-hole slot i in the tie. The fastening is released by turning the studs d.
