Seals. - In an ear-brand for stock, of the kind com prising two plates, one hav ing a shank adapted to be passed through the orifice and clinched, the stampedup shank 5 has a solid apex, and the plate 1 has a stamped seating surface 4 with a central orifice of such a size as to leave around it an upturned porton. When the shank is passed through the central orifice and pressure is applied to its apex, the apex is spread out to conform to the seating surface.
