Abstract

8097. Evans, J. L. April 4. Bale-tie fasteners &c. - A bale-tie fastener specially adapted for use in baling wooden staves &c., consists of a metal blank 1 formed with openings 3,4, 6 and a sharp tongue 8. One end of the tie 11, Fig. 2, is passed through the openings 3, 4, as shown at 12, Fig. 2. The other end is wound round the tongue 8, a depression 10 being formed to receive the tie. The tongue 8 is then driven into the bale. The device can also be used for sealing the wires round boxes &c.
