Abstract
1,045,139. Metal-clad refractory bricks. DIDIER-WERKE A.G. March 16, 1964, No. 11042/64. Heading F4B. In a metal-clad basic refractory brick or block, Figs. 1 and 4, the metal-cladding comprises a U-shaped plate 6, attached to the brick by means of clips 3 engaging recesses 2 in the brick surface, said clips being attached to said plate 6 as by spot welding. A plate 5 following the contour of the longitudinal surface not covered by the plate 6, is held in place by the clips 3. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the plate 5 has tabs welded to the U-shaped plate 6. A further modification, Fig. 4, has a suspension member 11 of T-shaped crosssection, inserted into a recess 10 and held in place by the plate 8 which is attached to the U-shaped plate 6.
