Abstract

1,044,922. Aircraft; space vehicles. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG - UND MOTORENWERKE A.G. Jan. 6, 1964 [Jan. 29, 1963; Jan. 30, 19631, No. 522/64. Heading B7W. A flying device for use in the atmosphere and in space, comprises two fuselages 1 and 2 (Fig. 2), and between them a wing 6 connected to the fuselages. As shown in Fig. 2, the wing 6 is flexible. The fuselages 1<SP>1</SP> and 2<SP>1</SP> (Fig. 4) are hinged to a cabin 5<SP>1</SP> by means of pins 6. Servomotors 7a, 7b and pinions 8a, 8b cause bearing elements 9a, 9b to rotate with hinges 10a, 10b, thus causing the fuselages 1<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>1</SP> to rotate in opposite directions. Spreading of the fuselages is effected by a telescopic hydraulic booster 11. The booster 11 is connected to the fuselages by way of hinges 12a, 12b and axles 13a, 13b which are rotatably connected to the fuselages. In an embodiment, Figs. 8 to 12 (not shown), the wing is foldable and substantially inflexible and hinged to the fuselages tangentially relative to the fuselage walls.
