1,044,234. Coffee and tea extracts. SALADA FOODS Ltd. Feb. 15, 1965 [Jan. 2, 1965], No. 6456/65. Heading A2B. Foodstuff powders, e.g. tea or coffee extract powders are aromatized by feeding the powders on a vibrating or moving belt conveyer through a chamber containing an oxygen free atmosphere and therein spraying the powders with an aqueous aroma concentrate. An inert gas, such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide, is used for operating the spray and for excluding oxygen from the chamber and the aroma concentrate storage container.
