Abstract

1,248,310. Agglomerating. METALLGESELLSCHAFT A.G. 5 June, 1969 [5 June, 1968], No. 28493/69. Heading A2E. Powdered comestibles or beverage extracts, for example coffee, tea, drinking chocolate, and milk, are agglomerated by spraying the powder with a finely divided liquid on an upwardly travelling inclined surface to form particles which roll down the surface and agglomerate, and thereafter drying the agglomerates. The surface may be provided by an inclined conveyor belt or a flat tray rotating about an inclined axis.
