Abstract

1,044,171. Reinforcing bars. TOR-ISTEG STEEL CORPORATION S.A.H. March 14, 1963 [March 17, 1962], No. 10232/63. Heading E1K. A reinforcing bar 1 has short peripheral ribs 4, 5 having a curved longitudinal axes and being inclined to the bar axis. The bar is preferably of circular cross section and has continuous longitudinal ribs 2. The short ribs may be curved in minor image directions or may be S-shaped. The bar may be twisted and the ribs have a curvature radius between 1 and 10 bar diameters. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 854,373, 868,077, 885,703 and 904,773.
