Heading E1K A bar for reinforcing concrete is made by twisting a bar which initially is divided into two halves by two longitudinal ribs which become helical ribs 113, 114 after twisting, one half having one or more longitudinal ribs which become helical ribs 119 after twisting and the other half having short diagonal ribs 118. Bars are labelled by variation in prominence of ribs, to indicate different qualities.
