Abstract

104,412. Railway Supplies Co., and Braithwaite, H. A. March 31, 1916. Cramps and clamps for securing railway-point tongues of the kind described in Specification 17463/13 are provided with a yoke or member preferably pivotally mounted on the pivoted nut 7 whereby the clamping-screw 10 and the nut, or only the nut, may be locked in position. As shown in Fig. 1 the nut is locked in position by the depending parts 17 of the yoke engaging the sides of the soleplate 3, while the longer arms 15 of the yoke engage the T-shaped head 11 of the screw 10. Fig. 5 shows the yoke after being moved to release the screw whilst still locking the nut. A padlock 14 prevents unauthorized movement of the yoke.
