Abstract
1,043,907. Screw jacks. AUDOX Ltd. July 7, 1965 [Aug. 6, 1964], No. 32058/64. Heading B8J. An adjustable push-pull prop comprises elongated tubes 3 and 4 telescopically arranged Coarse adjustment to the overall length is provided by a plurality of equally spaced holes 5 in the tube 3 arranged to co-operate with a single hole 6 in the tube 4 by means of a pin 7. The upper end of the prop is attached to a wall panel by a G-clamp 3 to which it is pivoted; the lower end of the prop is pivoted to a member 2 the two ends respectively having swivel connector assemblies 9, 8. Rotation of the tubes 3, 4 adjusts the overall length of the prop through screw-threaded shaft 10 and collar 14, Fig. 3 (not shown). A locking collar (not shown), may be provided to lock the prop in its adjusted position. More than one prop may be connected to a wall panel.
