Abstract

1,042,086. Screw jacks. AUDAX Ltd., and WATES Ltd. June 18, 1965 [July 2, 1964], No. 27400/64. Heading B8J. An adjustable push-pull prop for positioning a wall panel 20 in the erection of a building is pivoted to a locating member 1 at one end and to a bracket 19 at the other by pins 13. The body 10 of the prop is swivelled at the lower end so that it may be turned by handles 25, a screw-threaded collar 15 co-operating with a screw-threaded spigot 16, Fig. 4 (not shown), to adjust the overall length. The prop may be locked in its adjusted position by a locking collar 26. Two props are usually used to one wall panel.
