Abstract

1,043,822. Inductive signalling; transistor tuned amplifiers. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGSGESESELLSCHAFT. Jan. 15, 1964 [Jan. 15, 1963], No. 1885/64. Headings H3T and H4U. In an inductive communication system a loop 1, Fig. 1, extends around the service area and is coupled to a receiver 2 and a transmitter 5 which amplify and frequency convert signals f 1 induced in the loop for re-application to the loop as a frequency f 2 to enable two-way communication between portable transmitter receivers 8, 9. The loop 1 is tuned to resonance at the frequency f 1 by a capacitor 7. The portable sets may be provided with selective calling devices and transmit a carrier wave which is frequencymodulated by signals from a microphone which in the receive position operates as a loudspeaker. The receiver 2 may be coupled to the loop 1 through a pre-amplifier 23, Fig. 3 (not shown), the capacitor 7 being replaced by capacitors 20, 21. The potential across resistor 22 is applied via an adjustable resistor 24 to the resonant circuit 1, 20, 21 as regenerative feedback to reduce the damping of the loop.
