An I.C. engine exhaust manifold, e.g. of grey cast iron, is provided with a water jacket of synthetic resinous plastics material or of material in which synthetic resinous plastics serves as a bonding agent, e.g. fibre glass, the jacket being moulded in two parts 6 and 7 which are then bonded together along their surfaces 10.
