Abstract

[Also in Division El] A sanitary fixture comprises a hinged toilet seat operable as a bidet and having a timer controlled supply of warm water and warm drying air. As shown, the seat 18 is formed as a hollow air duct and contains flexible water pipes 24 and 22 connected to fore and aft delivery nozzles 28 and 26. The air is supplied, from a control box containing a fan and heater, through orifices 30 and 32 and enters the seat cavity through an extension duct 20, which is aligned with a supply duct on the top of the box when the seat is down. The control box also contains a thermostatically controlled water heating tank, a thermostatically controlled mixing valve, a radio and loudspeaker and a socket 72 for an electric dry shaver. The control arrangements include a mains switch 64, a start switch 66, a transfer switch 62 for selecting automatic or manual control, a selector switch 68 capable of preventing the automatic control from operating either of nozzles 26 or 28 and switches for controlling solenoid operated valves of nozzles 26, 28 manually. A control circuit is shown and described. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 908,384.
