Abstract

1,041,389. Hand flares. GOTEX A.B. July 15, 1963 [July 26, 1962], No. 27919/63. Heading F3A. A hand flare has a pyrotechnic mass in a metallic case which extends to form a handle, a section between the case and the handle having a reduced heat conducting area to prevent the handle becoming too hot. The flare comprises a tubular case 1 and an integral handle 1<SP>1</SP> connected together by narrow bridges 5 which remain after cutting out wide slots 6. The case 1 has a moisture-proof base 8 and a pyrotechnic mass 2 which is ignited by a device having a spring - operated hand-released striker pin 3 and a primer 4. A plastics end sleeve 7 is fitted in the free end of the handle.
