Abstract

855,749. Delay connectors. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 4, 1959 [Dec. 8, 1958], No. 39455/58. Class 9(1). A reversible delay connector 8 comprises a thin walled metal sleeve 1 of aluminium, of plastic material of high impact strength, which is medially constricted 2, a pair of delay detonators 3 and 4, located one on each side of, and each with its open end 6 facing the constriction, and crimpings 5 to retain the detonators in place within the sleeve 1. Each detonator has a base charge 13 and a delay composition 14. Specifications 731,108, 757,775, 782,305 and 843,227 are referred to.
