Abstract

1,040,951. Conveyers. WESTINGHOUSE AIR BRAKE CO. March 7, 1963 [April 4, 1962], No. 9125/63. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E2] Mine machinery is suspended from the roof by a device providing vertical and horizontal adjustments. In Fig. 1 a rope 8 of a rope sideframe conveyer is held by a clamp 21 suspended by a chain 19 passing through a keyhole slot 18 in a hanger 16 sliding on a flange 13 attached to a plate 11 secured to the roof by a bolt 14 providing angular adjustment. Vertical adjustment is by shortening the chain 19; horizontal adjustment by sliding the hanger 16 along the flange 13 and locking in position by a clamp screw 25. Other embodiments are shown in Figs. 6 to 9, nuts and bolts 70, 81, 91 being utilized in the last three embodiments.
