Abstract

1,039,982. Mineral-mining machines. GREENSIDE MACHINE CO. Ltd. Dec. 29, 1964 [Jan. 3, 1964], No. 300/64. Heading E1F. In a mineral-mining machine a rotary cutters drum 25 is slidingly supported on for reciprocable movement as required along the front of a guide bar 18 disposed transversely of and supported on the front of a preferably self-propelled base 1 by a parallelogram linkage 14, 16 that permits of vertical movement of the bar whilst the axis of rotation of the cutter drum is maintained horizontal. A transversely disposed conveyer may be so supported from the base 1 that it may be reciprocated longitudinally of the base to be appropriately positioned ahead of the base in accordance with the position of the cutter drum.
